Ashoka

Ashoka continues the olfactory narrative established by creative director Neela Vermiere and perfumer extraordinaire Bertrand Duchaufour with Trayee, Mohur and Bombay Bling. At once, more subdued yet perhaps even more complex, Ashoka manages to perform an unexpected transformation. From a highly spiced and vivid kaleidoscope of opening notes including lotus, cassis, a very creamy fig-leaf and osmathus, it settles into a resonant plane of luminous, burnished woods and resins from which curls a tendril of the finest incense. The balance and complexity on show are absolutely masterful.
